A new home for Ramsbottom Heritage Society at

Ramsbottom Library and Adult Learning Centre

 

Ramsbottom Heritage Gallery provides the opportunity for the local community and visitors’ alike to access the heritage of the area with exhibitions and information.

 

 

Current Exhibition

Fabric Printing

 Ramsbottom’s Hidden History 1783 - 2011

Including a recently acquired original oil painting of the centre of Ramsbottom between 1802 and 1814.

Historically important as it shows Peel and Yates print works buildings, only one of which still exists today

Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri

                    9:30am-7:30pm

Sat               9:30am-1:00pm

Sun              12:00pm-3:00pm*

1 p.m. To 3.30 p.m.

(Every 4 weeks) **

 

Members of the Ramsbottom Heritage Society will be in attendance at weekends to provide information and assistance

 

(*currently 2nd Sunday of the month)

Before making a long journey, please email to check that the gallery will be open

 

When the library is closed the entrance to the gallery will be via the new entrance door accessible from the footpath to the side of the library or by the new lift entrance at pavement level.
