I am looking into family history. Most seem to originate in Bank Lane. Is there any definition of this? It seems to be a vague area between Peel Brow and Shuttleworth.

I am interested in the Taylor family who were butchers in Shuttleworth and had Woodhill farm down Spring Street and also the Tomlinson family from Bank Lane.

I have just been looking at a map of Peel Brow, where I was born. It appears that the top two rows on the south side were added at a later date. Is there any information on the building of Peel Brow.
