DESCRIPTION
All that piece of land in Ramsbottom, bounded on
northerly side, by land intended to be leased to Alice Smith - 71ft 10”
southerly side by a road or way from Crow Lane to other land of the lessors
73’ 10” in length
easterly side “by and extending 9’ in breadth into an intended street” 25’ 9”
westerly side “by and extending 12’ into Crow lane 36’ 2”
total area = 250 sq yrds “which spaces of 9’ and 12’ were intended to form parts of the said intended street and Crow lane ….. and were at all times thereafter to remain open, unbuilt upon and unobstructed”
Also those two cottages or dwelling houses and all other
erections and buildings .

“ … in recognition and appreciation given and shown to
the donor (Peter Armstrong) by the donee (Frederick Yarrow) for a long time past
and in consideration of the promise made by the donee that he and his wife will
in future during the life of the donor render appropriate services in the care
and attention which may be required by the donor the donor is desirous of
assigning the property hereby assigned to the donee in manner hereinafter
appearing by way of a gift” The
gift was “all that messuage or dwellinghouse numbered 4 Crow lane with the
outbuildings belonging to it and the land forming the site.
The £3.0.0d rent was apportioned between the 2 properties .
